what is Anchor all about?

Our specific mission is to be what Jesus called us to be: a group of disciples that make disciples.

It is our responsibility to:

Magnify the Lord with our worship and service
Multiply God's Kingdom by the spreading of the Gospel
Be Missions-focused, both at home and abroad
Minister to others with our spiritual gifts and abilities
Motivate others to join with us and work together to accomplish the mission we've been given

how do I get to Anchor, and what time are your services?

Anchor Baptist Church is located at 4298 Armory Road in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Service Times:

Sundays

Sunday School - 10:00 AM

Morning Worship - 11:00 AM

Discipleship groups meet primarily on Sunday night throughout the community.

Wednesdays

Bible Study - 7:00 PM

what do I do when I get there?

When you arrive, a member will greet you at the door and direct you to a comfortable seat in the sanctuary. If you have children, we'll direct you to our Welcome Center to check into our kids' programs.

As you enter the sanctuary, a Discipleship Team leader will make their way to greet you and get to know you. You will receive a "Let's Get Acquainted" card that will help us to get to know you and stay connected.

If you join us along with your children (infants - 6th grade), someone will take you to the appropriate classroom before services begin. There you will meet a member of our team who will care for your children while you join us for worship and an engaging message from the Word of God.

what should I wear?

You are invited to come as you are! Scripture makes it clear that a person's interior is far more important than the exterior. We are more interested with your heart connecting in worship to God than with what you are wearing.

At Anchor, you will see blue jeans, suits, dresses, or shorts on a community of people from all walks of life who feel comfortable worshiping God as they are.
